Hunter

January 19, 2010

This past weekend was awesome!  My parents came to visit and they brought along my sister and my nephew.  It was nice to have some “new” guests at the house.  We got to visit, eat, drink, play Wii, and do some shopping.  We even got to visit with Jimmy since he was in town visiting a college buddy too.

One of my favorite parts of the visit was shooting Hunter’s official 1 year pics in studio.  Here’s a few of my faves!

And what 1 year pics are complete without demolishing a cake!

It wasn’t a stroke.  Matt’s mom has Bell’s Palsy.  She’s on medication and it should clear up in a couple weeks.

PLEASE PRAY!!!

January 11, 2010

For Matt’s mom. She went to the doctor earlier today with swollen lips and half of her face feeling numb and droopy. They are doing a cat scan to make sure she didn’t have a stroke. It’s likely that it is a disease called Bell’s Palsy.

Confused

January 4, 2010

We are in sort of a very confused place right now.  Matt is in the process of finishing his degree.  But once that’s done…we have no idea what we are doing.  Do we get a job in Cinci?  Do we get a job closer to home?  Do we try to head back to Rochester?  Do we go someplace completely different?  We don’t know!  The worst part is I am launching a new pet focused photography business NOW!  So if we move, what do I do with that?

We just need some prayers for guidance, for wisdom, and discernment.

God, what are you doing with us?

Praise the Lord

December 22, 2009

I spoke with my mom this morning. She sounds so much better. Surgery was a success. The only pain she is feeling now is soreness from the surgery. She will be in the hospital for the next couple of days. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers. And praise the Lord that my mom is ok. Please keep praying for her body to heal.

Also, a word of encouragement – yesterday, before the doctors told us what they suspected the problem was, we were given a message from God through a local pastor that there were cysts on the ovaries that were causing the pain.  This message was confirmed with the surgery.  God is amazing!

Update

December 22, 2009

Removed appendix…it was fine. Absess on right ovary right next to the fallopian tube that was causing the infection. Removed ovary and tube. Doctors seem satisfied that they got what was causing the problem. Will know more once she wakes up. Thank you for all your prayers. Please keep them coming!

KEEP PRAYING

December 22, 2009

My mom is going into surgery for an apendectomy. They may have to remove an ovary while they are in there, but they won’t know much until they get in.

I will keep you posted.

Update!

December 21, 2009

My mom is going to staying in the hospital for the next few days. They think it was a cyst that ruptured so they are treating for the infection. There’s still nothing definitive, so please keep praying.

Thank you to everyone that has been praying for her all day. Your prayers have been felt.
